What would you do in my situation?

Admission acceptance wait are killing me so are these 17 units I'm taking. I need these 17 units to meet the 60 units requirements, so I can't drop any. However, I'm already struggling in one of my 5 unit class.

So just curious on what you guys would do if you were in my situation.. :

Even if accepted, got a good chance of not passing that 5 unit class, meaning admission rescinded. If I don't get accepted to the college I want, and try to grind out this 5 unit class then that = hurt on GPA

Drop the class, take another year of CC(would be 4 years now ~_~ ), and TAG to desired school.

Just wondering what you guys would do.. But man 4 years of Community College, ahh (First year was useless, as 90% were non transferable courses due to class being full)

If its me, i will try my best to pass this 5 units class. I’m taking 17 units, too; just to meet up the 60 units requirement. As long as you get a C, you will not get rescinded. You don’t want waste another year to take more that classes that don’t need it.

I’d say fight like hell and don’t let yourself fail. Give up on having a social life, go to office hours, make sure you get your work done, do whatever you need to to keep up. If you drop the class, you know your chances are gone and you’ll be stuck in CC for an extra year. If you try and pass, worst case scenario you have retake the class and do another year, but best case scenario you get to transfer.

Fight man, just try a little harder. I’m taking 22 units, it’s really not as hard as you think. You are probably just over thinking the big number.

I had a friend who failed a course after she was accepted by UCLA, yet still got admitted to UCLA. So, that does not really matter that much I think… But, above all, don’t lose hope!

Take an extra year for one class? Don’t do that; that’s a waste of your time. I’m on the same boat. For some reason all my classes are really hard this semester and I’m getting C’s and B’s on all my quizzes. I’m not even enjoying my last semester at ccc. But I have to pass them or I won’t transfer this Fall. I say try your hardest to pass the class. You don’t want to spend another year at your local cc.

I agree, keep taking the class. The UCs don’t rescind you right away. I think they give you a chance to tell your side of the story. Very nice of them.

I’ve been in Community College for 6 years because I’ve had to work full-time and go to school only part-time. It’s still extremely early in the semester, you can still pass the 5-unit class at least with a C. Turn in ALL your work, study study study study study, set aside all your free time to studying. Forget about everything else, you don’t need a life this semester. Think about this, if it’s your LAST semester at a COMMUNITY COLLEGE and all you have to do is pass ONE class?!? I am going to do EVERYTHING in my power to pass this class, NO MATTER WHAT. Then, when you do pass you can have your life back! Celebrate that you’re now out of a CCC and going to a 4-Year University!

It’ll be worth it. Don’t give up.

Heck yeah, thank you all, definitely helped alot. and @ WordofTeekz your post literally extended my 10 hour study sessions to 12 hours haha. I’m going to print it out and place it as my folder’s cover sheet. lol

You can do it bro good luck.
