My plan is to look over the 1000 or so words I've been memorizing(I'll go slowly to make absolutely sure that I know them), look over the math sections of books like Barron's, and then end the night with a practice test. I'll sleep early and wake up early, like 2-3 hours in advance, to look over essay strategies). I'll do practice questions early in the morning to get myself familiarized with the test so that the actual SAT won't seem like a sudden obstacle, but rather like a continuation of what I was doing that morning. Sure it seems like a lot, but I don't see basketball players waiting for a game, I see them practicing almost 2 hours in the arena before a game to get themselves pumped up.

I dunno, probably not go to school and cram, since I haven't studied at all. I've been pretty much spending all my spare time working on my intel science fair project :(

RahoulVA- I really hope you're kidding

IMO the best thing to do before the SAT is relax, hang out with your friends, go to bed early. if you cram the day before and morning of you're just going to burn yourself out before the actual test.

I'll probably do something similar to Rahoul, only that I've memorized like 400 or so words (but are supposedly all high-frequency words).

I won't wake up 2-3 hours in advance (waking up at 4 AM? that's insane!), but maybe about 1.5 hours in advance, just to brace myself, and get a good meal

yea rahoul i wouldnt wake up at 4 just for last minute cram studying, lehcar is right you will burn yourself out that way. Besides its not like you are going to digest all of it that early. Just make sure you get some nice sleep and have a good breakfast; key components of having the right mental mindset before the test

Last minute cramming will not work. You should have built up your vocabulary over several months to a year at best. You should have given at least a few weeks for vocab.

I'm going to go over a few sections in a practice test and see if I got everything down, and then I'm going to prepare my clothes and my stuff in front of the door, along with a few snacks. Then I'll get a nice 10 hours of sleep and I'll be pumped for the test.

My first SAT is on Saturday. Good luck to all who are taking it.

I realize that vocab should have been a long process, but too bad that I realized that a little too late. Hard to believe that I've crammed so many words in just 3 weeks! I just wish that I didn't have school distracting me. I would be doing practice tests right now if I didn't have so many tests and quizes this week for school.

Hey look, just do individual sections. You don't see marathon runners running a marathon everyday in the week before a marathon. You'll be much more careful in doing individual sections and you can be more diligent in preparation.

There are other ways to improve your score besides vocab.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty nervous too. I think I'll study a bit with a friend, review what I already studied, eat well, sleep early and wake up early to read some Times to warm up a bit.

To get a 2300+, I would go to sleep at 4am the night before (due to a cram study session from midnight to 4 after neglecting the test for months) and wake up at 6:30 to take it. Then I would go in, take it, and come out of the test feeling good about myself.

Anyways, that's how I got my 2300+ :p

not always a good idea since lack of sleep can kill you on the test too.. lol but if it works for you, go ahead

Relax, Calm Down...Get Everything Ready...Go to Bed Early. Then, try one section in the morning/read to get my brain going before having a good breakfast in the morning.

December, I let up my nerves get to me in essay and 1st math section. I got so nervous and could not think straight. I hope I can calm down for 26th. This is my last time taking the exam.

This Saturday is my first time taking the SAT. This thread reminds me of the times when I did good at different contests, either I had a good night's sleep or not. Usually, I can't sleep well before an important event. Many times I take a pill to help me fall asleep, but still many times when I do this, I still can't sleep enough. Well, now I am more relaxed, though I haven't taken SAT until now... I'm just thinking that, oh, it won't be the end of the world if I really screw it :-S.
Good luck test takers! Wish me good luck as well!

Oh, and to answer the question, tomorrow I will probably do nothing serious related to the SAT. Today I'll be revising stuff I'm bad at and... brrr.. I don't wanna think at this anymore. I'm becoming nervous
:D

DS's strategy: Play video games. Dinner. Organize calculator, ID, pencils, etc. Go to bed about 9 pm with a good book.

Breakfast with protein in the AM. Leave house 15 minutes earlier than necessary. Kick butt. Worked for him every time (single sittings for SAT-I and SAT-IIs).
