So, my math final is today. After some rigorous calculations, I have come to the conclusion that it is trivial to give my best effort. my teacher has decided to weight the final as a test grade, meaning a 100 will only raise my 87 to an 89 and an F will lower my grade to a 84. I really dislike the way he grades. I would have an A, but I forgot to turn in one homework assignment and my grade dropped 4 percent. What would you do in my situation, try my hardest or halfway try?

try your hardest. Who knows, colleges may see your numerical grade, or you may need a recommendation from him later. Even if you don’t think you will ever see him again, just try your hardest.

Yeah, I guess I should because he’s going to be my BC teacher next year. Unfortunately, my best effort will not be good enough.

Don’t sweat it… Just try your hardest. An 89 is a lot better than an 84, or even an 87. Out of curiosity, what kinds of grades do you typically get?
