Hey this is an essay for the University of Michigan.

Everyone belongs to many different communities and/or groups defined by (among other things) shared geography, religion, ethnicity, income, cuisine, interest, race, ideology, or intellectual heritage. Choose one of the communities to which you belong, and describe that community and your place within it.

My parents are from Pakistan (I'm from Chicago)... so should I just write something about race then? It says to choose "one of the communities" but I'm confused on whether that means just pick one of those above or kind of just merge some of them into one essay.

So something like ethnicity and cuisine? Lol let me know if I'm not really making any sense.

I'd appreciate any help.
