As a prospective pre-med (bio major) i'll be attending a prestigious university this fall but the problem is that I think i'll lag behind in my calc & physics courses especially since that's where i'm weak the most. would you recommend any good prep books for calc/physics that I could start on over the summer so I could sort of prep on my own and be more prepared for the real stuff? There are many prep books such as the Dummies series but i'm not sure which one would be most easy to understand for myself. thanks!

I would take a look at one of the AP Calculus prep books such as Princeton Review and make you sure you know everything in it. As far as a physics book, I would look at Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker. This is an excellent text is will incorporate calculus regularly. Hope this helps.

dont bother. you’ll just waste your time. i hated physics, had a bad background from ap physics, still managed an A+ in that class.

Relax in a summer, will work the best for you!

pick up a copy of Stewart’s calc text (international editions are usually cheaper), and hire a tutor if you are really concerned. Take a course at a local college (pass-fail)?
