What would you think of someone who brings a ukulele to college?

I just bought one, and I enjoy playing it. What would you think of a guy who plays the ukulele in his dorm at college?

That he has a ukelele and likes to play it.

I’d think ‘Cool Beans!’.

Just as long as you’re not playing it at like some weird hour, like 2 in the morning, or something like that!

“I really wish that guy would shut up already with the ukulele playing.”

Even if you’re really good, it does get kind of old after 20 minutes or so…

I get to listen to people next door sing all the time :/

I have a cousin who plays the ukulele, you have no idea how much action it gets him

I would think of him as experimenting with his sexuality

^ What does playing the ukulele have to do with him being gay?!

OP, bring your damn ukulele. And don’t care what other people think either. Even if you get dubbed the “ukulele dude”.

I just went on omegle last week and there was this really cool dude playing the ulalalee. He played a whole song for me and it was neat (and im a dude too so dont think im being gay or anything). I think he said he was in cali cause i thought he was in hawaii. I think they sound good and they are smaller than a guitar so you can hide it in your room better so nobody steals it. And most dudes probably have guitars in college, so if you are playing with them, then i think it would sound better than all guitars.

I’d immediately think he’s a hipster, but that wouldn’t stop me from possibly befriending him. Hell one of my best friends is a hipster with a dash of scenester.

I’d want to become your friend even more.

I wouldn’t think anything about you based on the fact that you have a ukelele. That’s ridiculously judgemental. However, if you were playing it constantly, I’d think you were being obnoxious.

I wouldn’t think anything of it, but I do have some thoughts about you even posting this thread and asking this strange question.

I’m not gay, I just think it’s a cool little instrument. I love music of all kinds.

Go for it! My boyfriend plays the uke and has actually lent it out to a few friends to help them impress girls they’re dating! haha.

I’d think you were just like any other local guy

(then again, I go to University of Hawaii, so I may be a little biased:p)

Loser not to be talked to, associated with, or looked at.

Nothing wrong with it. I brought mine (I’m a girl) and there’s another guy on my floor who has one too. Lots of people are very interested and like it when you show them how to play something.

If you play it outside (and are any good), you’ll attract a crowd and people will think you’re awesome. If you play in the room, people will get tired of it really fast.

If you can play it well, then you’re cool. If you can’t, you’re a pretentious ******bag one level below those idiots who think that vuvuzelas ought to be played at 2 am.
