So this is kind of a game, more just sharing thoughts on why you hate your school.

I hate mine mainly because of its relatively small size. As a result, only 6 APs are offered so I feel pressured to self-study a bunch of extras.

Also, my school doesn't weight GPAs. So currently in ranked first out of 180, but I'm tied with a couple others who don't take any honors classes or APs, which I think is BS. But oh well.

Not a problem at my school. Our football team is constantly either winning the state championship or is playing in it. Our basketball team is outstanding too.

What I hate about my school is that it’s filled with disrespectful children who thinks its “cute” to not hold the door open for a person that is right behind you, bump into you in the hallways and since they’re “oh so offended” cuss you out, and act ghetto cause they’re “hard” like that. I’m surprised that I have normal blood pressure. Being in that environment everyday is sure to cause at least one stress related stroke. Another thing is being nice doesn’t get you anywhere but walked on. There were a group of nerds (I say nerds because they were very much enthusiastic about playing their Yugioh than their personal hygiene) that came in from another one of my teachers classes. They took over other people desks which in turn would leave people in my class without a desk. I told them tht people sit there, nicely, and they sarcastically asked one another if they cared and bitterly said “We don’t care so you can stop talking.” That second I wanted to say, “***** please.” but an argument involving so many antisocial personality victims would be anything but worth while. I’m glad that I’m going to be a senior next year. I’m tired of being nice and people taking advantage of me. I should have a pin that says “No effs to give.” because I really don’t have anymore to give.

That my school is really competitive so my class rank is lower whereas if i went to a different school i’d be ranked 2 or 3. and also that our classes are harder than those in the rest of our district /: and the annoying kids who fail tests and don’t understand how they don’t have an A

The favoritism of ‘gifted students’ as well as the terrible gifted program. my district chooses the gifted kids in third grade - two years before I came to the district. So I was automatically not gifted, and they didn’t test me. I had to fight to get tested, and when I did, it was pretty much too late to get in to the advanced math classes. So now I’m stuck in algebra 1 like a loser. I could be doing alg 2 right now, but nope.

The question should be, “what I don’t hate about my school.”

I hate: the teachers, the administration, the students, the way my grade is super competitive in that 30% of it are straight-A students, the fact that my school gives an INSANE amount of homework compared to all other schools in the country/continent, etc.

I could be here all day listing reasons. The only motive for me not to leave is because it is considered the “best” one, but it’s a horrible school, and I tell my parents all the time not to donate for renovations and stuff like that.

Bassoonapus – at least your school picks their “gifted” in second grade, my school picks them in kindergarten. So if you moved to the county any time after that you’re off the radar of gifted.

Funny. One of the things I dislike about my high school is that ANYONE can take the gifted/AP courses, so for those who tested into the top 1% (or whatever it was) usually find themselves bored in class

There’s a lot of things to hate, but I MOST hate that there’s money in the budget for a new press box for the football field, and $11,000 for a new gym entrance, but we have to have bake sale just to be able to afford to rent costumes for our musical. And it’s really sad, because we are (not even bragging, this is measurable using competitions/festivals) the best public school theatre department in the area, but we have nothing to work with, even compared to other public schools.

“I MOST hate that there’s money in the budget for a new press box for the football field, and $11,000 for a new gym entrance, but we have to have bake sale just to be able to afford to rent costumes for our musical”

And hardly anything will change in college unless you go to a LAC or something, hope you’re used to it

No one cares about orchestra in my school. The band has Smart Music, air conditioning, two Ipads, and their own classroom. The orchestra has no air conditioning and no classroom. We continually get booted out of the auditorium, which serves as our classroom. We have an incredibly crappy, incompetent teacher. It’s ridiculous.

I really appreciate my school’s academics (besides the grade deflation) and great faculty, but I really hate the underclassmen. Because I’m a senior about to graduate in a month, it seems to me that my fellow seniors are all mature and chill while the underclassmen are mostly annoying little brats. Here’s what they’re mostly like and why they **** me off:

Juniors: Half of them are super-competitive kids who are all aiming for HYPSM or other Ivies. Whenever I’m around them, they’re always talking about classes or comparing grades, ECs, SAT scores, etc. They cry over B+s, and constantly lament about how their 97 GPAs aren’t high enough or that they need to retake a 2300. Plus, it seems like any of them who are applying to the same schools next year are forbidden to be friends.

The rest of the majority of the junior who **** me off are annoying guido-like kids who are obnoxious and try to act hard. They keep to themselves most of the time and don’t really bother others, but they’re just really loud all the time and that gets mad annoying.

Sophomores: A lot of them are just plain obnoxious, and far more so than the juniors. A lot of these kids try to act “badass” all the time and trash bathrooms, mess up school property, etc.

Freshmen: A lot of them are just like the sophomores or even worse. Some of them are extremely f-d up too and do stuff like hard drugs and have tons of sex (STDs included).

I’m going to a large public school, and yes they focus on athletics but there’s a lot more resources available for theatre. They built a brand new, state-of-the-art performance space not long ago, and the Theatre and Music programs get a lot of support from students and the community. Plus, I kid you not, a GYM ENTRANCE. Did I mention that the 50% of computers that actually work are all from 2005 or earlier.

Oh, another thing I hate about my school is the way it’s become more authoritarian right in front of my eyes. It started with the move to lock all entrances from the outside except the main entrances during the day. Then they started punishing people who let people in through those doors even if they’re just trying to get to class. They created a new tardy policy that punishes you after your second tardy (luckily a lot of teachers don’t enforce this) despite the earlier mentioned door locking making hallways a LOT more crowded and forcing students to take long ways to class.

They banned eating anywhere except the cafeteria, which is loud and smells like crap, or the courtyard, which is small and barely has any tables. They got rid of the policy that allows clubs to meet after school without a teacher sponsor, but teachers can’t sponsor political clubs, so they banned Young Republicans and Teen Democrats, and almost banned Gay-Straight Alliance until we basically had to threaten to sue them when they wouldn’t believe it’s an anti-bullying, not political, club. Oh, and by the way, the Fellowship of Christian Students got a pass.

They added another SRO (police officer) in response to…nothing, and now there’s someone who monitors who leaves the parking lot to prevent people from going to get McDonald’s and Chick-fil-a for lunch (again, in response to no specific incident) which was fine until this semester. They prevented the theatre department from doing The Laramie Project because of the subject.

All in all, I’m glad to leave. I don’t want to know what they plan to do next.

The most annoying thing has to be our high population of “bros”. Seriously, there are so many of them at my school, and a lot of them post on facebook about smoking weed. Seriously, I’m not kidding.

…and then there’s the kids that try to act gangster when they’re nowhere near it, that annoys the crap out of me as well.
