What You Need To Know Before Applying/Studying

Hello,

Here I
ll write some of my insights and lessons I gained trough my search and study periods. I hope they
ll be helpful.

Read, understand and apply.

Most important: Don
t pick a course before knowing that you want it wholeheartedly. You probably heard it a dozen times but do you apply it? What is the purpose of studying? Probably to work in your dream job afterwards. If you get a degree you didn
t want wholeheartedly will you get that job?

Find out everything about university you want got to [Scholarships, guarantees, offers. Everything that would be useful to you]. I didn`t do that and missed some great opportunities

 • Clear up any doubt you have.
 • Ask, ask, ask. Adviser purpose to asnwer all your questions. Use it. It doesn`t matter how stupid your question sounds.

Don
t buy learning material. You can borrow almost everything from local libraries or friends. Don
t forget, that you can find almost anything on the internet. You just need to search correctly.

Before applying, get in touch with student from that university/degree and have a chat with him. Personal feedback is always better than dry information

Start managing your time now. You`ll need it while studying
 • Do/learn only what is essential and really important. Use Pareto principle 80/20%. Youll get millions of information but dont absorb everything. It`s waste of time.

Learn accelerated learning techiques. They are brilliant time savers

Don
t believe everything you read on university webpage. Maybe it
s not a lie but they definitely don`t say everything. Speak with students instead
 • If you have a chance, communicate with professors.
 • If you`ve learnt smth new, apply it immediately. Active learning is a hundred times better then passive.

If you have questions about new material ask person who is profesional in that field. Maybe your relatative or friend?
