Girly stuff, like pillow fights and eating ice cream in the dorm.

I think of rich daddy's little girls. mostly pretty, with all designer clothes, and a cool dorm room. its sterotypical- i don't know anyone who goes to boarding school and have never been 2 1.

I think of Michelec. Michelle sounds like a boarding school girl name.

hehe, im nething but. i wish i was rich- i just go to a public hs. just an average girl :)

I think of catty, cutthroat, sheltered girls who talk about their expensive yachting trips off Cape Cod, flaunt their new Gucci sunglasses, Tiffany's necklaces, and Coach handbags, and have rich but busy and overworked parents. Girls who've set their hearts on HYPS ever since they learned their ABC's. And also, I think of these gorgeous dorms with hardwood floors, stained-glass windows, and fireplaces.

Again, these are just stereotypes--I don't go to an all-girls Catholic school and have never visited one either. I'm just your typical public school girl...:)

i think
i wish i could be the only guy there

I've just read in a newspaper that Miss Porter's schools is near 50 Cent's Connecticut home. It's interesting how the reporter comments on the preppy town of F-something Connecticut and his choice of a woody mansion. Then there's the town men's club and...all this stereotypical rich people stuff.

I thought of the regular, stereotypical junk before i applyeed there.Cattiness, spoiled rich girls, a lot of boy craziness, but when i took my tour at one and spent a few hours there in classes, i realized what a fabulous, stong enviroment it could be. These girls were strong!!Not catty at all.
(unless of course, it was all an act)

A couple things:
i go to porter's and yes 50-cent had a huge party last night at his house about 1.5 miles up the road.
A disagreement, not all the girl's at boarding schools are rich. From my experience, they tend to be more generous with their financial aid. For example, I didn't qualify for financial aid at Choate but I hae a half scholarship at Porter's.
tappingprep... did you apply for this year? and I agree with what you said... we're not as catty as one would think. cattieness comes from social pressure, mainly due to boys.

I'm applying to choate, loomis, westover and taft. I wasn't going to apply to westover, but my grandmother got me an interview . I wasn't planning on liking it, but what do you know.
Plus, 60% of the kids at westover are on fa. I think that's pretty normal for a boarding school.

lol 50 Cent...Mike Tyson used to own the place didn't he? wonder if he had any boxing parties...

yes it was mike tyson's old mansion. and used to be kind of ugly... I'm pretty sur ethey did a little exterior remodelling. I don't think he had boxing party's though... but then again... nobody at the school probably cared...

All-girls boarding school?

Cmon' we all know what really goes on in there when noone is looking...

LESBIAN SEX

starman, that's the same thing all the ignorant perverted boys say. You guys just can't imagine regular girls wanting to do anything except fight over boys.
BTW, did u ever see 'lesbian love' at an all girl's school? or even know anyone who did?
That's all just bollywood

and i doubt it's any more cutthroat there than at a coed boarding school.

yeah man its so obvious
theyre all a bunch of dyyykes
but hey im just a guy i really dont know what im talking about

Bollywood? u mean hollywood right? there aint no movies about miss porter's school or watever in bollywood. and starman's just expressing his opinion, don't need to rip on him for that.

nah she mgith mean bollywood
i heard of a recent lesbian bollywood movie

Hollywood, bollywood, I agree with tappingprep (of course). And btw, Miss Porter's was where Julia Stile's character in Mone Lisa Smile went to h.s. (it was on her transcript) :-)
It's funny how I thought this thread was like... dead, and then wham "it's alive"

exactly, but also because you're always told that at unisex school girls are gay without any evidence
