Princeton
everything is fantastic but i especially love the campus! gothic paradise....::sigh::

Dartmouth!
-Hanover, New Hampshire
-D-plan
-Student body
-Dr. Seuss/Robert Frost
-Best school color and name ever
-Buildings with big windows
-Academics
-Funniest school emblem (it looks like the book-sun is actually a book meteor coming to destroy the earth)

Okay, so I've just fallen in love with everything about it, even the quirky things, and didn't think any of them really explained it well enough.

I was kind of disappointed when I perceived a little bit of an upset attitude when I told my parents that HYP were not for me... not that we're the type of family that HAS to send its children to HYP (we're not even from the type of family that sends kids past tenth grade), but they made a lot of sacrifices for me to be able to work as hard as I have, and they deserve the chance to brag. Then I realized that it's pretty much insane to be disappointed that your kid wants to go to Dartmouth, and also that they never cared about the name anyway.

Princeton.

I have many reasons, but it basically comes down to this:

Best. Writing department. Ever.

As a Pulitzer Prize finalist author I know said when I told him I was applying, "Yeah. Princeton's creative writing department isn't just the best. It's three times better than other undergrad writing department in the nation."

God, please let me get accepted ED. Please.

I have three dream schools, one for each level of not-going-to-get-in.

Princeton. Campus and location are disturbingly beautiful, and there is easy access to nearby cities. They actually have my major (comparative literature) and also, like c_j said, have the "Best. Writing department. Ever." If I was accepted I would go there even if it meant taking out 40k in loans every year.

Dartmouth. The D-Plan is so amazing, and so are the study abroad options. It was the first school I was ever really interested in. Everything seems so awesome. Yet again, 40k in loans would not keep me away. But Princeton would.

Vassar. I love it because I might actually be accepted and the students all seem so amazing. The campus is beautiful and I would love to be able to say that I attend Vassar. It's my number realistic choice.

Georgetown. For oh-so-many reasons:

The political atmosphere, being near DC, Georgetown the area is incredible (so many nice restaurants/shops/politicians' homes), the feeling on campus, the entire SFS, the availability of political internships, the size of the school, the buildings, the history, the alumni (Bill Clinton went there!!), the emphasis on cross-cultural learning and service... Just everything about it. I would marry that school if I could. Oh will you please let me in, please please please please pleeeease?
