What're My Chances?

Hey guys, I was wondering what you think my chances were on getting into IU. I want to go to major in probably.Bacteriology. Right now, I have:

-3.72 GPA
-8 Honors Classes
-2 AP Classes (World History - 3) (US History - 4)
-26 ACT
-Top 20% (out of around 225)
-Private School in Memphis, TN
-Top Bowler in state of TN
-100+ hours of community service
-Latin Honor Society (School and National)
-Lasallian Youth (Service Program)

Thanks SO much,
ZG23

I put your odds of acceptance at about 99+%.

Check the website here:

[Automatic Academic Scholarships: Office of Scholarships: Indiana University Bloomington](http://www.scholarships.indiana.edu/pages/automatic.php)
to determine which automatic scholarships you qualify now and how to get even more money by increasing your stats slightly.

Also, be aware that the college goes by the GPA on your transcript–so have your school put the higher “weighted” GPA on the transcript that gets sent to IU-B.

Thanks, Calcruzer. I do see what you mean, if I could raise my ACT by 2 points, I would get $3,000 more a year.

There are some good sites on CC that make excellent recommendations on how to improve your SAT or ACT scores. I especially like the hread on the “xiggi” method.

Best of success in getting the extra 2 points you need for the better scholarship.
