What's a 94 converted to a 4.0 scale?

Hello, I’m a senior I have around a 94.2 unweighted GPA as of now, but my school doesn’t convert to the 4.0 scale so I’m not sure what it would be. I would also like to know what my weighted GPA would be around. I took 8 ap’s and mostly honors classes starting sophomore year.
What colleges are okay with this GPA? Thank you

You can’t convert the average. You have to convert each class then calculate an average 4.0 scale gpa. Each A (whatever your school calls an A) is worth 4. B is worth 3. Etc. Some schools have a weighting system for honors and AP but it varies by school (should be able to google to find most schools weighting).

FWIW, according to the profile for my kid’s school, a 94.2 converts to a 3.8-3.9 GPA. Other schools might be higher or lower. You should be able to calculate your weighted GPA on your own (most schools tell you to multiply your grade in an AP class by 1.10 for the weighted average in that class). Based on the number of AP classes you have taken, it seems pretty certain that you have a 4.0 weighted GPA.

You do not need to convert. This is why your school submits a school profile, so the college understands the grading structure at your school

No way to know without knowing how your school weights. There is no standard.

As mentioned above, unless a college asks you to convert your GPA, don’t. If they want a conversion, they will tell you how to do it.

A story:

My daughter moved schools after her sophomore year. The first high school was the US News #1 STEM public magnet school with a 0-100 grading system. We moved internationally for work, so the second was a German International School with an IB program that has a 1-7 grading system. We never knew what her 4.0 scale GPA was. Colleges admitted her anyway and gave her merit scholarships. The only glitch we had was our State Public U that had an automated system for scholarships based on self-reported data. An email to admissions cleared that up and she was also awarded merit.

My point is, don’t worry about it, the colleges figure it out. A 94 is very good.
