Whats a good "cover" major for a pre-med?

I want to get into LA, but I don' think i'll have the stats to get in as a Biology/Premed student.

Should I...

1) Apply to UCLA as different major, but keep taking the required premed classes in JC and at UCLA.

1B) If yes, this brings me to my next question. Which "cover/fake" major should I declare myself as? I might as well choose a major that has a short pre-req list so I get attend UCLA sooner.

1C) But this can be a risk because, I will probably have an un-impacted major, that I don't really care too much, and I'll be graduating with a degree that would most likely be useless to me.

OR

2) Just suck it up and apply to all UC's as a Biology/Premed major, and just accept reality.
2A) If so, which UC should I sign a TAG to? UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCSD?

Please give me your input and suggestion. I'm at a complete loss and don't know what to do, because I'm stuck at this fork in the road. Any and ALL input is encouraged and appreciated!!

Thanks CC.

If you really want to sacrafice the major that you really want just for LA then do step 1. There is nothing wrong with UCD,UCI,UCSD they all are very strong in bio. I want to go to LA as well but I have signed TAGs with UCD and UCI just in case and I’ll have no problem going to any one of those schools as long as I get to study bio  and who knows you could even get into UCLA with your stats you never know! good luck!

No offense but if you can’t get into UCLA bio which has an average gpa of 3.65, then you probably won’t get into med school.
