What are the closest dorms to the Fran

That’s on North Campus. There are two dorms on North - Bursley and Baits. Bursley is slightly closer and is a much better option overall.

Thank you, that’s a great piece of information. Let me extend this subject to the following question:

Can I live at Bursley if I’m not in the Live Arts program?

Yes… definitely. Idk why you’d have to be.

Also Baits is good in it’d own way as well. They both have pros and cons

Thank you for your insight, Woody. Would you mind elaborating upon the pros and cons of Bursley and Baits?

Well Baits has a parking lot if you want a car, Bursley does not
Bursley has a dining hall within it, Baits does not
Baits has larger rooms with private bathrooms, Bursley does not (I believe)
Bursley seems more social then Baits (at least where I live in Baits, but I am in the basement)
Baits is first on the bus route, so you’ll always have a seat, or atleast a place to stand.

I’m sure there are more if anyone else wants to add

What’s the distance [or walking time] from Bursley to Baits? Is any of them ‘closer’ to Ann Arbor’s airport? I have no idea of the campus geography.

[University of Michigan Campus Information Centers :: Maps & Directions](Find Your Way | Campus Information)

Here’s a map of UMich. Bursley and Baits are probably like a 5 min walk apart depending on which baits you live in. The difference in distance to the airport is negligible.
