whats a good gpa for college?

what's ur GPA spanks...pardon me for my curiousity...

"I laughed. I probably should have cried. I tend to laugh in situations in which I should have cried."

omg. i do the same...i laugh like mad when people are dying in movies..

mind tellin me how that helps...bec i'll try laughin next time EVERYONE insults me on CC

Arjun, you're getting insulted because you basically make a mockery of yourself and leave us no choice but to laugh.

And Arjun, you may want to ask that question in a private message, but you have no sense of social constructs. I don't care to tell you my GPA because you have a skewed system of judging people and you seem to think that GPA is indicative of intelligence and bragging rights (bragging rights which you have utterly abused). I see no valid reason for you requesting my GPA other than to tell me about your amazing Indian school or that you're the proverbial ****.

I can hear Carmina Burana in the background. Arjun gearing up...Spanks supremely defiant...

I laughed right through the Ring and the Ring2.

I found this website provided pretty interesting explanations about why people laugh.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laughter

honestly, what doesn't wikipedia have

I have above 4.0...trust me it's possible. I know guys with as high as 4.2 for semester, and it's not even like they're antisocial or work superhard.

Graduating summa cum laude (4.0+) isn't easy, but is very possible. If you're smart and are willing to give the effort that is.

AJKates what college are you in and what major?

AJKates you totally shocked me saying that you need a 4.0+ to graduate suma cum laude. The cut offs vary from program to program. For bio you need a 3.5 + to graduate magna cum laude and 3.75+ to graduate summa cum laude. You also need to do an honors thesis...

http://www.bio.cornell.edu/research/honors.cfm

Doing an honors thesis would be nice, but I am not sure how that plays into getting into medical school.

it is very possible

however, ppl that are engineering majors, math/science majors, i don't think that is the case

ask Norcalguy, the dude is a genius, idk his GPA, but i doubt it is above a 4.0

if ur a history major, u could very well have a 4.0,
