What's a good, "normal" clothing company?

j crew is pretty good

I HATE logos too.

Yes to H&M. Nothing has logos and most things are cheap. Good quality, normal plain polo and shirts and sweaters. I am guilty of buying mens clothes there for myself.

Old Navy is poor quality. J Crew, Gap and Banana Republic are all pretty expensive (Gap less so).

Target has some ok stuff but it's not amazing quality.

I don't know about mens clothes, but in Macy's there is a floor with all designer stuff really marked down, like $10 for women.

Actually if you go to the factory stores for GAP, Banana Republic, and J Crew you can get things pretty cheap, but still the same quality. Go outlet mall shopping!

I never liked Old Navy shirts. The collars don't retract if you accidentally stretch them out and the jeans are decent.

However, there are so many more brands that you can get so it's not really worth it.

I have to put in a plug for T J Maxx. It's hit or miss, but they have overstocks of very good quality merchandise at great prices. DS got some Ralph Lauren Polos (I know, logo) for $15 each.

I think having sports brands such as Nike and Adidas isn't that bad of an advertising, considering the rest of the shirt is blank.

There's something about blank t shirts that I don't like.

Of course, you can't go wrong with a superhero logo.

idk i tihnk walmart is the best its better to save yoru money so you can buy good clothes and stuff

Walmart makes shoddy clothes, especially the Faded Glory brand. Only go for a good brand if you are going to buy at Walmart. Dickies, Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, and Wrangler is all I can trust from Walmart.

Um... NOT Hollister... Ew.

But I agree with H and M. I'd also add Forever 21 to that. Also Target can be nice... if you get their international designer things...

^^ Those are the main three places I shop :)

OP....AMERICAN EAGLE IS NOT PREPPY.
i'm sorry, but this ****es me off.
american eagle, abercrombie, hollister= NOT preppy
since when did ripped jeans and graphic teachers mean preppy!?!?
jcrew, lily pulitzer, ralph lauren = preppy
ANY polos, seersucker, classic blazers, pearls, cardigans, madras, ribbon belts, etc. = preppy

preppy is not a BRAND, it's a lifestyle: preppy: (adj) of, pertaining to, or characteristic of preparatory schools or their students.

you cannot ask for a polo and then claim that a certain brand polo is preppy. thats ridiculous. a non-preppy polo is about as close to a fashion oxymoron as you can get.

noww that we've taken care of that, as much as I hate abercrombie, hollister, AE (not as much since they have decent prices, good quality, and cute non-logo stuff), they have the basics you are looking for (polos, long sleeved shirts, etc.) without logos besides a little icon thing you'll find anywhere. abercrombie and hollister are overpriced and iffy quality, but I find that AE has pretty decent quality and often have lots of stuff on clearance, so you should look there.

I doubt jk_91 will be interest in F21 or Target Go International (although I love them), as he is a male.
H&M usually has great stuff pretty cheap, but they are very trendy. you should still be able to find the basics you are looking for though.

also try the Gap, they have great quality, rather than Old Navy. it's more expensive but you can really tell the difference. Old Navy, Gap, and Banana Republic are all owned by the same company I believe, and they increase respectively in both quality and price. It's a good idea to look for says at Gap and BR.

^^^ My Forever 21 has a mens section that composes half of the store. Most of the stuff is plain basics.

I just went to Sam's Club today. The brands for the blank polos are Izod, Van Heusen, and PGA (it's a golf shirt, technically). There was this one brand that made a really soft polo but I forgot what it was, oh well.

I got a new completely gray Gators shirt. I don't know why, but the logos and the Gator are gray as well. If only they sold some decent sneakers at Sam's...

really? thats cool, mine has absolutely no mens stuff.
well then, if the OPs F21 has a mens section then he should check it out. great prices, but I find the quality to usually be somewhat cheap. can't speak for the men's section though
I don't mind it at all since I usually only get trendy pieces and accessories there, rather than basics. But if the OP is looking for quality basics I'd advise Gap, Banana Republic, Jcrew. They might be more expensive but it's better fit, better fabric, and lasts longer.
you could also find basics at basically any department store...

i get shirts at old navy and forever 21, underwear at walmart/kmart/costco, and for jeans i go to places like AE, try stuff on and copy the style number of the ones i like. Then I go home and buy them from ebay for an eighth of the price.

What do you guys think of Fred Perry, H&M, J. Crew, and Ralph Lauren? Their stuff seems fairly normal. I also really like the slim fit polos from Brooks Brothers.

Gap's good, Old Navy's not the best quality, H&M and Banana Republic can be too expensive, but wait for sales/go to factory stores and you're good.

St. Augustine Factory Outlet Mall FTW!

I got a $300 Seiko watch for $75

Old Navy is your store. Not too expensive, but not Walmart.

Or you can go to TJ Maxx and other outlet/cheap discounted stores. Those are awesome.
