I was thinking about attending one but I couldn't find any information about any prestigious or any particular good political science program.

I think the JSA this is pretty cool looking I have never attended but it looks good! jsa.org

Try Boys State

I attended the JSA Summer School at Georgetown last summer and I absolutely loved it. The classes are rigorous, but very fun and laid back. The professors are accessible, you hear from some pretty neat people, etc. The whole experience has been the highlight of recent years. I loved it and I'm doing it again.

Highly recommended.

JSA Georgetown Session I

I'd love to go to JSA but I don't have the money to pay nor the grades to get a scholarship (or get in , probably). lol @ 3.1, weighted.

I did JSA Summer School at Yale and it was fantastic. It's possible to apply for scholarship if money is a factor. I guess depending on which branches you go to you'll meet different political figures for Speaker's Day. I met with Katie Couric, Geraldine Ferraro, Brian Williams, and the Executive Director of UNICEF. On an academic front, I also got to meet with the Dean of Admissions of Yale. I recommend JSA any day.

I went to JSA Princeton in 2006. Crazy expensive, but with writing letters and getting donations from my entire neighborhood and local businesses, I was able to attend.
Believe me, if you really want it, you'll work your butt off to get there. It was tough, but you can do it!!! :D
Good luck! Girls' and Boys' State is free, and while I've never gone, that's also supposed to be really good.

I wish I could go to JSA, but it's way too expensive and it's probably really hard to get a scholarship anyway. Try being a Senate or House page if you are currently in your sophomore or junior years, it's free. Boys'/Girls' State is also free. Both are prestigious.

whats the difference between being a congressional/senate/house page

do the UC’s recognize CA Girls State as being prestigious? or do they just sort of glance over it?
