Whats a good SAT Score

Whats a good SAT Score for
HYPS?
Duke/Cornell/Brown,etc.
USC,UMASS,BC,BU

Dont say 2400, whats the lowest good score for these schools?

It depends what you mean by good...I'll give 75th percentiles (roughly)

HYPS: 2250
Duke/Cornell/Brown: 2200
USC, BC, BU: 2150
UMass: No clue...

Of course, you need to do very well in all areas to be accepted, especially at those schools

My bro got into Cornell with 2080 SAT, 800 on Chem and Math 2C, 770 on Physics, mediocre ECs (only good thing was 4 years in band).

I agree with Jyankees, but think BU is probably more like a 2050 or 2100.

Is BU's really that high? I would figure more like 2050 for 75th percentile.

Weird... same thought.

oh that's creepy tony...you posted that at about the same time.

Edit: lol...and even weirder...you just posted the same response after that.

Boston University is more like 1900.

Search "Common Data Set" with the name of your favorite college, and note that except for the very top of the top-tier colleges, most colleges admit students who don't enroll but go to some better school. So a college can cheat in reporting its statistics by reporting statistics of students it ADMITTED (of course it admitted most of the applicants who end up going to Harvard) rather than the statistics of students who ENROLL. The Common Data Set statistics are based on which students actually enroll at each school. Not all colleges publish their Common Data Set statistics on the World Wide Web, but many do. Google for other Common Data Set pages for other colleges.
