What was a good book you used? I don't know anything about macro-economics and the book the professor chose isn't very good >>> Economics (by Campbell R McConnell, Stanley L Brue. She is obviously not the best teacher also and that's why I'm looking for another textbook to help me with this class....

i'm using baumol's macroeconomics: principles and policy

My microeconomics class is using Economics, 18th Ed. by Peterson; it's good for both micro & macro econ. It's pretty good.

mankiw is pretty standard.

Principles of Macroeconomics by Frank and Bernanke. Co authored by the current head of the federal reserve, Ben Bernanke....so hopefully he know what he is talking about :) Good book, explains macro well and it's not boring at all.

I used that textbook. Its really not a bad book, you just have to get really, really proficient at understand charts and graphs.

I'm pretty much the worst at econ in the history of the world, and I found Mankiw to be a manageable text for first and last econ class I will ever take.

Vyse--yeah, there are lots of charts and graphs. Also, our teacher has us looking at past and current financial data and making our own charts, and by the end of class, predictions on future data. The charts are the same as those currently available on the internet though, so I feel that it is a good thing to learn how to read them, and it's realy not very hard.

We are using Case-Fair Principles of Macroeconomics 8th edition. It's pretty good...I like it =)
