What's a good way to study for the WRITING SCORE?

sooooo...

Anybody know a great book to help with the Grammar section?
Or a particular strategy for the writing section?

with the approaching June SAT, I really want to improve my writing score. After all, I'm taking the June one to improve my writing score because my other scores were good for the first one I took. (780 CR 770 M....660 W(yea what the heck? lol))

I do know that I need to watch my pacing for the essay section... it's just the grammar section that gets me killed because I'm not an original English speaker. In the identifying sentence error section, basically all of them look fine to me!

It really frustrates me because I did well on the Critical Reading section...and according to others, you shouldn't have a big discrepancy between your CR section and the W section, because that big discrepancy makes it look like you cheated or something. hello, I know how to comprehend and evaluate a piece of literature, but I JUST HAPPEN TO FAIL AT GRAMMAR!

So..ranting aside, anyone know a good way to study for it?

Writing questions are the easiest to improve. Honestly, if you look at two practice tests worth of writing sections, you will see a definite pattern on what they ask. They almost always ask the same exact questions just with a different sentence, and it is really easy to catch on.

I am not exactly an expert, but I went from a 51 on the PSAT in writing to a 690 on the SAT. The most important thing it to take as many practise tests as possible(10 is great), but write the answers on another sheet of paper. As you do them, look at the answers after every so many. See what you mistakes are.

Then, after going through the books, do it again and see if you make the same mistakes, There are only so many grammer rules, and 10 SAT practise tests will most likely cover 95 percent of them.

Again, I am no expert, but this method helps me find my mistakes and prevent me from making them again.

Hope this helps a little :)

Barron's 2400 - Writing Section.

If you don't get an 800 or at least a 700+ on Writing after that, you're either:
1) Really stupid.
2) Really stupid.

ahahahahaah! I admire your shameless brutality, Feed.

^ Thank you, although I've been accused of being a moron because of my blatancy.

On the 'compare SAT score'... I was going to post I hate you after you posted that 300 point jump. Was it a whole year of continuous work or just ... that 'I got older' bollox?
