What's ADDITIONAL INFO?

hi guys

i just started looking at online common app

what 's additional info?
it's the 3rd section under WRITING SAMPLES

so do we upload an additional essay? or what?

thanks!

ps, how many essay are there in total on common app? the personal statement and the essay, right? are they all under writing samples/

thanks!

short stories and ****.
If you are a wannabe author.
Don't bother with it, they will just annoy the adcoms. They have enough to read, and won't be thrilled to read a story no matter how good it is.

lol
alright...thx

any other opinions?

Yeah I was wondering about this as well...

ya lets bump this diehardcubsfan XD

ps u have a long name @_@ lol

You write there anything that does not fit anywhere else in the app but that the colleges should be aware of. For example that you've spend half a semester in hospital and that's what caused the dip in your grades in a certain semester, or that you have more siblings than lines available in the family section. I wrote "Thank you for considering my application." If you have nothing more to say, simply leave it blank.

Could you write something about why you want to pursue a specific major? Or would that go in a college's supplement?

The supplement usually asks why you are applying to that college and you can usually incorporate your reasons for your major pretty well into that essay.

E.g. This and that... made me really like subject x... program x at your college offers everything I've been looking for...

If you are applying to a special program or a certain school within a larger university (e.g. engineering, business or nursing), there is usually an extra question on the supplement about why you want to pursue that program.

so anything regarding a special school/program should be on the supplement?

thanks barium!
