Don't bother with it, they will just annoy the adcoms. They have enough to read, and won't be thrilled to read a story no matter how good it is.</p>
<p>You write there anything that does not fit anywhere else in the app but that the colleges should be aware of. For example that you've spend half a semester in hospital and that's what caused the dip in your grades in a certain semester, or that you have more siblings than lines available in the family section. I wrote "Thank you for considering my application." If you have nothing more to say, simply leave it blank.</p>
<p>The supplement usually asks why you are applying to that college and you can usually incorporate your reasons for your major pretty well into that essay.</p>
<p>E.g. This and that... made me really like subject x... program x at your college offers everything I've been looking for...</p>
<p>If you are applying to a special program or a certain school within a larger university (e.g. engineering, business or nursing), there is usually an extra question on the supplement about why you want to pursue that program.</p>
