My school completely screwed up my junior schedule. It just doesn't look practical for me to take AP Physics as a junior (I will make sure to get it senior year), so I need another AP science. Chem doesn't fit with my schedule either. Only Bio is a good fit. So, what were your experiences? I'd like to know what I'm getting myself into...

Get ready for nonstop memorization the whole year. Many of different schools that my friends go to don’t even finish the whole book, in time for some solid time to review in class (however, you’re a junior, hopefully you are already used to some self-study). I got a 5, so I think can help somewhat, so here’s my 2 cents: this class generally runs the whole year until AFTER the exam, then you get a break. BE PREPARED FOR READINGS DURING FALL/WINTER AND SPRING BREAKS. Find a style of studying that will best benefit you like flashcards, highlighted notes, etc. (I recommend trying different ways of writing notes and maybe doing flashcards if you need to memorize something cold i.e. pathway of blood through human bloodstream). Some popular prep books which I liked too were: Princeton Review, 5 Steps to a 5, and Cliffsnotes I also used the Sparksnotes book with the 5 practice tests. These tests scare you into thinking you know nothing, you prep yourself some extra and land yourself a nice grade. The exam tests some pretty general ideas, so seeing the big picture is a plus, but not completely necessary. Good luck. It’s difficulty is not in grasping its concepts, rather the time you MUST invest into remembering so much information about EVERYTHING ALIVE AND ITS ENVIRONMENT!

That’s deep. I’m taking AP Bio as well this year.

Then I wish you both luck, work hard and you will be rewarded :)

*But remember to work smarter, not too much harder ;)

Yikes. Oh well, it’ll be a good experience :)
