Whats better? UF or UM?

<p>I got accepted to both UF and UM and wanted to major in business and eventually move to NYC. Money is a factor when it comes to applying for colleges since UM is prob around 40 a year wheras UF is 15 after bright futures is taken out. (100%) Both are great schools but my parents are pressuring me to pick (and to pick UM). Everyone that I think is intelligent from my school is going to UF. Even the valedictorian got accepted to UM but is going to UF. </p>

<p>So what Im asking is....</p>

<p>Where should I go?</p>

<p>UF because its 1. Cheaper 2. still a great school 3. in a college town</p>

<p>OR</p>

<p>UM because 1. Its closer to home 2. a great school 3. in a major city</p>

<p>Lots of kids from the NYC area go to UM. If you’re thinking about connections after college, UM might have a better network than UF. </p>

<p>I’m sure UF has a good alum network in the NYC area, but UM is full of rich kids from the Northeast that have (wealthy) dad’s with lots of business connections.</p>

<p>Going to school at UM is like going to school at a country club. UF might be more of a “college” experience, being that Gainesville is more of a college town. It just depends what you are looking for.</p>
