What’s better UNC Chapell Hill or AFA?
Which is a better college?

In my opinion, it isn't even a close call. The AFA by far.

haaa, not trying to be sarcastic, but if you come on a messageboard composed primarily of cadets and appointees, what do you think the answer will be?

The USAFA education is comparable to an Ivy League education, so they say.

What defines one as being better?

if you really want an objective answer i don't think you're going to find it here. if you want to hear that the usafa is the better choice then you've come to the right place.

I'll put it this way. If your goal is to become an officer in the United States Air Force, than AFA wins hands down. If your goal is to pursue a civilian career, then you will be "forced" to serve your country for eight years first if you go the AFA. If that sounds appealing, go air force. If it sounds scary, go to UNC. This should be a no-brainer!

....so the question is, not what is "the better college" but what is "the better college for you."

well... i am an obsessive Tarheels fan that wants to go to AFA... as far as i'm concerned, both are the best colleges there are!
