What's between the East and West campuses?

Ok I've been wondering this. I know there's an east campus and a west campus and that many students take a bus inbetween. But what's inbetween the campuses? a small town? construction?

an expressway

haha!

:6

there's a graffiti wall.. i guess..

central campus + nasher + administrative buildings

a nice road that's really good for an evening run:)

And there is a "graffiti wall"... the road goes under a couple of bridges, and the walls of the bridges can be painted by anyone (it'll make more sense when you see them). The only rules that I know of are that you are not allowed to paint over something advertising an event that hasn't occurred yet (unless the event, like PKA's Pikes of the Carribbean, isn't for another 2 months). The first things all you freshmen will be seeing painted on that wall are your dorm names and a big welcome sign from Project BUILD.

Yeah, the space is taken up by Central Campus apartments, Nasher Art Museum, administrative buildings, and forest. Look at maps.duke.edu .

central campus has classes on it too

theres a lot of stuff on central as others have mentioned. The problem is that it is not really conducive to walking since things are so far apart.

some things I might add to the list:
-Grace's Cafe (Chinese Restaurant) at Trent Hall
-Also, you can access Duke Gardens (Duke Forest is further away near the sports complex) and the Duke Medical Center North
-Freeman Center for Jewish Life
-The administrative bldgs. of interest to students: student loan office, financial aid office, study abroad office
-International House
-Uncle Harry's Grocery Store
-Ronald McDonald House
