What's Binghamton like ?

fyi - freshmen are generally not allowed to have cars.

And why is that ?

why? because it is their policy.

if you need a car to get to an off-campus job, you could inquire as to whether that would warrant an exception. a desire to be able to get to party cities would probably not warrant such an exception.

oh and in case you think you can get around the rule by not living in the residential halls freshman year, they also generally require freshman to live on campus. why? another one of their policies.

Oh alright … I don’t think bing would be a good choice for me learning that information. Do they set curfues ?

Curfews?

It’s a public school, not a monastery. They honestly don’t care what you do as long as it isn’t illegal or violates the housing license. Curfews are not part of that.

Those who can’t spell the word curfew probably wouldn’t be accepted anyway. ;)

Just kidding.

If you don’t like it, don’t apply. Simple.

Oh alright … I was on one of these posts and someone was saying something about a curfew that’s why i asked but thanks for the info.

And its not that i don’t like the school its the area im worried about i hear nothing but good things about bing, but the are is what makes me wonder -.-. I guess if i visit first I’ll be able to tell if i’d like it or not.

itzsav - Lots of schools don’t let freshman have cars.

Perfectedxchaos yeah i’ve been researching more and i see that now … But do a lot of schools also require freshman to live on campus ?

Yes, that’s pretty commonplace unless it’s a school that has a lot of commuters… really depends on the school.

Oo alright do you know anything about fiu in miami ?

itzsav - You’d have to go to their forum to ask current students about that.

Okay … I did that but they rarely respond on their .

You could also try checking collegeboard.com for particular institution’s policy on cars.

Alright … I didn’t know you could check policies on collegeboard thanks for the info.

Hey guys! I was just wondering, what is Binghamton like? How are the dorms, the security, the classes, and the parties? Is the campus itself really nice? And how is the school spirit?

Heyitsmonii, I recommend starting a separate thread, since this is more about Bing the city and not what the school is like.
