I took the january SAT and wasn't feeling well that day and didn't score nearly as high as I usually do (I received a 1960). I recently took the March SAT and am really confident I scored well (maybe even 2300+). Is it true that my score will be flagged if my score improved this much?

Well, you have a 440 pt. possible increase, so if you really did well, good for you, but 400+ boosts are looked at as suspicious. Maybe you’ll get 2359 :P

Is it only a 400+ boost for M+V? My previous math was 770 and verbal (terrible :() 590 so I can only go up 240 for M+V. Do they take into account writing as well? How does this flagging thing work?

I don’t think 400 score increase is not enough to worth the red flag.
It is a good increase but usually people studying SAT for about 2-3 months (especially over the summer) increases 300-400 score.

Maybe the AO will think you have great potential ^_^
