I'm going to try to study for around 4~ hours a day for the rest of the summer for the ACT or SAT(Don't want to study for it during school year) and I'm wondering what test is it easier to study for?

Even though I took both the SAT and ACT, I found the ACT easier because it’s questions were more straightforward and didn’t require as much critical thinking as the SAT.

However, I found that studying for the SAT helps a lot with the ACT (I took ACT after SAT) because you do much more work and thinking. Doing practice tests helps a lot.

I was in a very similar situation as you and chose to focus my attention on the SAT despite my ACT score being MUCH better than my PSAT score. For me, it was a matter of how much I thought I could improve and what scores I was looking for.

I now know that, realistically, I can score very close to an 800 in writing (Silverturtle/Sparknote’s grammar guides), and math (Barron’s workbook + consistent practice with the BB) and close to a 700 or 750 in CR (DH I and II, Hit Parade, Xiggi method, Barron’s workbook, etc). There are so many resources/tips available for the SAT that it was a no-brainer for me.
