What's "enough"?

I decided to drop my sixth AP (stats) today at my school's registration. So, as a junior, that leaves me with five. As a sophomore, I had four. Anyways, I decided to drop the sixth because I need the extra time to work on SATs, SAT IIs, and other EC's.

Is five "enough" for something like Ivy? I figured it would be; I'm just not sure. Anyone clear on this?

And don't be a jackass on this thread. Thanks. :D

I think 5 is already good as a junior and its awesome that you took 4 during your sophomore year. I think that it definitely enough for the Ivies and schools of similar caliber. :)

There is no such thing as "enough." Enough is relative to the opportunities your school offers. If I'm correct in understanding, you took four as a sophomore and will take one as a junior. That seems a little bit strange, considering colleges place most emphasis on junior year grades/courseload. I wouldn't recommend telling ad officers (e.g. in an interview) that you lightened up your courseload from soph to jr. because of SAT's and EC's. Everyone has to take on additional burdens each year.

^ OP's taking 5 this year. Need to brush up on reading comprehension :)

Sorry for the ambiguity. I typed this while half-asleep.

Anyway, yeah.

My school offers something like ..19 AP?

I took four as a sophomore, Bio, APES, Calc AB, and Euro.
This year I'm taking APUSH, AP Lang, Calc BC, AP Physics.

It wasn't clear whether he were taking 5 junior year or had a total of 5 AP's including sophomore year.
