Given that Rhodes is such a small school, I'd imagine that it can be boring at times, so how's the campus life? Would you say there are alot of things to do on campus or are most students caught up with community service.

Secondly, how would rate the academics and coursework at Rhodes?

Probably the best way to answer that question would be to come visit and get your own feel for it.

That said, it sure seems like there’s more going on than any one person could take advantage of. Among the students I work with, I see them spending a lot of time studying, working their on-campus job, working out or practicing with a team, hanging out in the coffee shop, planning the next party, etc. There’s usually a couple of interesting lectures a week - Antjie Krog was here and Noam Chomsky is coming soon for example.

When I was a student we’d go out a couple of nights a week; for a while Thursday nights were when everybody went down and took over a bar called Alex’s (best hamburgers on the planet, btw). There’s a thing called Big Diehl that plans social activities - transportation and free tickets to the movies, to Grizzlies games, to minor league hockey, to the ballet, to the corn maze, to paintball.

But, like I said, the real test is to come down to Memphis for a couple of days and stay overnight on campus.

Hey lynxinsider, does Rhodes have any school traditions: concerts, spree days, etc?

and can you tell me about your experience with the Honor Code, cuz say for example I leave my laptop in the Lair to head over to the Rat to get a bite to eat would I come back and still see my laptop, lol!
