<p>It’s the form colleges use to tell you how much qualified tuition and fees you had for the year and how much, if any, scholarhip money you got. If the tuition was higher than the scholarships, and you are claimed by your parents, you can give it to them and see if there are any tuition credits they can get. If the scholarhips are higher than the tuition, then you must include the difference as income on your return.</p>
