Whats goin on with UC Davis

This is a useless post, but come on. I got my acceptance letter like a month after it was posted online. They offered me the worst financial aid. They sent me information for decision day AFTER decision day already passed..i was expecting a little more from them.

Same here. They never even sent me an email saying they received my application in the first place. I got my crappy acceptance packet weeks after I found out that I got accepted. They gave me a horrible financial aid package. The worst out of any UC. I was actually going to choose UCD over UCLA because I didn't want to go to socal, not anymore.

that's kind of wierd, caue UCD offer me the great financial aid package I think (almost 8000 scholarship and UC grant, not including Cal Grant and Pel Grant) !

wow really? for me ucd seems like they want me there the most compared to the other schools. they are the only ones that sent me an email that said i was accepted and that was the day my packet came too. they have also sent me multiple emails about campus stuff like visits and the picnic day.

..... They didn't even notice my admission neither sent me much email about other stuff. Anyway, not gonna go there

UCD has been awesome to me!

Hockeelover and others that are frustrated with the UC Davis admissions process:
I apologize for the issues. Although I can't speak regarding financial aid, since I don't have the knowledge regarding it, I can say that email communications were sent to all applicants in January (if you applied during the extended application filing period of December we wouldn't have received your application in time to send this email message) and another in March or April regarding your admissions status.

I also regret that we cannot control if our email messages are incorrectly filtered into junk, spam or trash folders and sometimes erroneously blocked by your email service provider.

I can't explain the late arrival of your admissions packet either; they are placed in the mail within 24 hours of your admissions status being displayed on the MyAdmissions site or earlier.

Since there is still one Decision program left, May 9, the message was sent out to give students adequate time to register for the May program as well. Since I couldn't guarantee the message would before or after the April 12 event, transfer student decisions are released on a rolling basis, both events were included in the message.

I encourage you to file the survey after choosing the "I will not attend" option at the MyAdmission site. Hearing the issues from the surveys will provide better feedback then what I can gather from CC. Please message me with any other concerns that you might have regarding the admissions process.

That's nothing Justincredible, I have like 10+ emails from UCSC telling about their programs and inviting to visit, etc...it feels like Slug spam sometimes :D

Did you get the one about the jewish religious community at UCSC, I am not even jewish.

^ i definitely did.

i've been getting plenty of mail and email from ucd. its like backlogging now...
so many little post cards....im gonna build a little card house with them...

UCD, i want to take the time to thank you for all your help throughout the process. I wanted UCD so bad, and at times i probably seemed extremely impatient with my pestering for info, but you were exremely helpful and patient with all of us. Your presence on this forum alone tells us how much UCD cares, you were absolutely awesome. Thanks for everything!

bornrdy: (whisper) I did the same thing with my copies (/whisper)

You're welcome but, thank you for your interest in the UC system. Myself and my supervisors just want to make sure that the correct information is being communicated with all of you. Thanks for using tools like College Confidential to research your options.

^ hahahahaha
must be a mcmansion ^^
