I'm a senior and I happened to have a relatively late Telebears Appt this semester (aka the 4th day, almost everyone from my major has it on the 4th day and we always have Telebears later than other seniors from other colleges, so we think Telebears appt is by major). This person I know who's a transfer and now a senior still got his Telebears Appt before I did (aka the 2nd day) and he's in another college.

Hence when I signed up for classes, most classes I wanted were already full for Open Seating (~100 out of 200 class, the rest are reserved for majors) requirement OR Students with status of new or junior (which I don't qualify).

If the req of Students with status of new and junior is FULL, did it mean a lot juniors had an earlier Telebears than I did?

Or are the classes full because there are a lot of Superseniors or too many seniors? It's to a point where I have to WL all my Phase I classes which never happened in past semesters.

I never got to know how Telebears appointment dates worked even as a senior. What we thought was By major, then by last name alphabet.

I can’t figure it out. Mine is the 28th (all the classes I needed are full already), I am a junior transfer English major but all the other junior transfer English majors have dates spread out from the first day all the way to mine.

Telebears is often late in changing your telebears level. However, within the telebears levels themselves, I assume that the assignment is quite random. So if seniors were given the 2nd-4th days for example, then it would be pure chance that you got the last day. However, much of this is just speculation since they don’t release a lot of this info.

I’m a graduating senior double major and my appointment was on the 20th. I’ve had mine relatively early all 7 semesters before this and it just really doesn’t make sense that juniors had their appointments before me.

I seriously doubt it’s by chance although they always say that so there’s no other questions/explanations they have to give.

My major always have late telebears appt. The first time we had it “earlier” was for Fall '11 and the rest of the semesters, we always have it 2 days after other majors. So it’s definitely by major.

flutterfly_28, at least you had yours relatively early in past semesters. I always had mine so late in comparison. I had it on 20th too and my Education Level is probably a “supersenior” in terms of units and Non-AP level is of cos graduating senior.

But it’s definitely by alphabetical order within major. My friend who’s last name is Baylor has his always a couple hours before mine.

This upcoming semester is so hard to get in classes! Open enrollment filled, WL is already so long! I’m not even sure if I’ll get in those classes.

Btw, do anyone rmb when they first came in, people were saying if you have a late Telebears I then you’ll have an earlier Telebears II, so you can get at least some of your classes? And the thing with freshmen get late Telebears I but earlier Telebears II than seniors so freshmen still have some chance in getting classes they wanted. I know the latter is definitely not true by comparing past Telebears appt with upperclassmen. But is the first one true? Just curious.
