I'll be applying there for transfer to Stern...anything I should know?

Well if you didn't, would you apply as a transfer? I'm not trying to sound like a douche, but from the way I understood your question, you make it seem like you don't know a thing about the school.

I think he/she is asking about general dilikes that people have with NYU, not necesarily that he/she doesnt know anything. When I visited colleges I would always ask people what they dont like about the school, even when I already knew a substantial amount.

Brand_182, I'll be an incomming freshman so I cant really speak from personal knowlege but alot of people are discontent with the lack of campus, school spirit, housing lottery, how far the upperclassmen housing is, competition (stern), the food (i disagree i ate some awesome food @ NYU).

I know about as much as a guy from Texas can know about it without going to New York...and I'm kinda poor, so I don't get to check out the university until I get accepted. I've read a lot of different views on NYU, but after I started this thread I saw the "featured" thread about NYU and that helped me out alot. I guess it just depends on what kinda person you are. I was wanting to get people's opinions that were going there. I hear Stern is very competitive and quite a few people transfer out.

Douche....lol

that was a joke...please don't come to find me in texas. :)

thanks xsubbiex that's what i've been hearing too...congrats on getting into NYU I can't really see how anyone could absolutely NOT like NYU, but then again I'm from the country so the "big city" sounds incredible.

I think the positives mainly revolve around Manhattan.

Well, then I sincerely apologize. Let the manhunt begin. :)

lmao (10 char)

Well, brand_182, if you want to know the good and the bad about Stern, tell us more about yourself. :D If you currently pay out the rear for tuition at your school, you won't be shocked by NYU's tuition. Conversely, if your dorms are pretty bad, you'll be very pleased to know that most of NYU's dorms are quite nice, in comparison. A little more info about your studies and your plans will help. :D
