Currently a sophomore with a 1.75 gpa..is biology generally easier? (w/o syllabus, professor, etc)

Definitely not. It requires a LOT of memorization. If you want an easy degree, go for psych, communications, sociology, or criminal justice. Or basket weaving. At this rate though, you won’t be able to get a good job with your GPA, unless you work VERY hard over the next 2 years and get 4.00s every semester. The best thing would be to look into a trade school to become a repairman/electrician, whatever.

You coul also try for elementary Ed,even though that is generally a two year program. Honestly though, I’ve heard the classes aren’t hard. One kid in that program at a college near me said that he was taking a class on how to turn on a projector for his major.

Well that depends if you either like math or science. But generally the science majors at the uni level is considered to be difficult. It contains a lot of memorization and labs can be stressful. But if biology is what you like studying go for it.

On the other hand, business is a very broad major. If you could narrow it down to finance, accountant, or marketing its better. Some business fields such as accountant use basic math while finance uses higher math.

But its all up to you. If you love science go for it or if you like math go into business.

I hate both…I’m so screwed…I have to work my butt off in either, anyways

If you’re in college just to get a degree and struggling, I recommend trade school as well.

I realize I could have sounded condescending with the trade school idea, but seriously, you should go for it. Electricians and repairmen make at least 3 time as much as those with an American Studies degree working in baristas.

It depends on what kind of business you’re talking about. There are different fields in business. Finance, Economics(I know this is a social science, however it allows you to go into the finance field as well), Accounting, Business Administration, just to name a few. Business Administration is generally the easiest of business degrees. However, things like Economics and Finance can be substantially harder than Biology. Finance and Economics require a higher understanding of Mathematics than Biology. Accounting can be hard if you find it mundane, which I do. At this point, I don’t see a reason to continue in biology as it does not seem to be your forte. Or maybe your a business major and that is not your forte. At this point, I’d say maybe college is not for you. It’s not for everybody.
