<p>I'm still deciding which one to sign up for, and i'm just wondering what is the relative difficulty of both? it seems to me that B looks a bit harder since it covers a bit more topics than C, but i'm not really sure...=\
i audited general physics course in a local college, so will that be enough prep for B? how about C?

<p>C is much more difficult because it requires Calculus.</p>
<p>If you have already taken a year of calculus, Physics C should be simpler (in theory) because it has a smaller curriculum and uses only basic calc like integrals/antiderivatives.</p>
<p>If you have reached only the precalc/trig level, then I would say Physics B would be a much smarter choice despite its slightly augmented amount of material.</p>
<p>B may cover more topics than C. But all the topics it covers are done at a rather simple level, to the point where if you learn and understand all the formulas on the formula sheet you’ve basically covered everything.</p>
<p>yeah, i’m currently taking calc BC, but the reason i’m stuck is because i’m a junior, and i will be applying to college next year, so i dont know which one would look better (planning to go to a tech college, btw)
but when you say that it requires calculus, you mean that they could ask something like deriving some equations? or expressing in integral form, etc?</p>
<p>Physics C: Mechanics and E&M are more impressive. The calculus in physics C should not be difficult…things like integrating a force distance graph to find impulse…you also needed it for solving the actual problems obviously (I have not taken but have heard about it). Basically, unlike physics B problems which generally eliminate things that make the problems more complex (i.e. air resistance) are all part of the problems for physics C.</p>
<p>If you have taken calculus your junior year, definitely take Physics C. It is one of my favorite classes this year. I’m pretty sure that the majority of the kids in my class plan to major in pure science or engineering. We go into a lot more depth than in physics B.</p>
<p>Physics C is harder but it also goes more in-depth and let’s you understand physics more. Physics B is just boring.</p>
<p>Physics C is 1 million times harder regardless of whether you’ve already taken calculus or not.</p>
