wow... alll the misinterpretations...
ok, I got 2 teachers to agree.
My French and Chem teachers.
Sooo...
What should I hand them for the recommendation (down to the tiniest details)?
Plz try to put everything in a list instead of a paragraph form (explain after the list if needed), more words just confuse me.
Be precise lol, I don't wanna leave anything out.
Thanks a bunch ppl in advance.

Also, another quesiton to include in there, how do you get the teacher recommendation section off the commonapp to give to the teachers if you're doing it online?

help me out people. plz.

bumpity bump.

bumpity bump. Yes I'm determined to get an answer. A good one.

don't everyone answer at once now.

please use less flashy thread titles

thx

sry, but it always helped me get people's attention, and lol, being a procrastinator, I usually need advice around the time I ask for it.
Well I would delete the little things around the title, but I can't... =(

Give them:
* envelopes x the number of schools you're applying to
* a rec form (if it's the common app, give them just one, they can xerox it when they're done filling it out... but if they're different rec forms, obviously give them one of each type of form)
* a list of schools you want them to send them to
* due dates for the recs
* addresses for the schools
* probably you should put stamps on the envelopes

that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Good luck!

thx a lot! if any1 else got things to add, I'd appreciate them too.

bumpity bumpy bump.

In my packets I also included:
*resume
*Common App essay

I gave my teachers my transcript too.

my school is very different, I simply asked my teacher if he could write a recommendation for me and he agreed. Then I have nothing to give him, he doesn't even need the teacher's recommendation form, our school uses our own form.

hmmn.. lol would be nice to be in your school, cuz our school's like "give us stuff", and I don't know what stuff.

Also give them you "resume." There's probably a resume form somewhere on the internet and your english teacher can probably can tell you "how" to write it... (I'm glad they made us do it in Junior year)

So give them the resume so they'll have easier time writing it.. (GPA and your AP classes, etc whatnot) and I think sarazlig covered it pretty well...

better if you can sit and talk abouit some of your important accomplishments.

why the common app essay?

I included the Common App essay because a little over half of the schools that I am applying to use the Common App; in addition, my teachers wanted to know what I will be writing about, so I just felt that it would be easier if I gave them the entire essay instead of a short summary.
