I'm considering taking the Lit subject test but the curve is so harsh as 750 is the 94th percentile while for math 2, 750 would be 79th percentile. Do colleges consider a 750 in Lit equivalent to a 750 in math 2 or do they base their admissions decisions off percentiles?

Both score and percentile are considered. A 750 Lit is not equivalent to 750 Math II.

They’re probably considered within the context of how difficult the test is understood to be. Getting a 750 on Lit is obviously more difficult than getting a 750 on Math II, but I don’t think that they give full credence to percentiles since different tests vary in self-selectivity.
