What’s more important to UC colleges? UC GPA, weighted GPA, or unweighted GPA? ( Assuming all three are from 10th and 11th)

IMO, UC gpa is used for admissions eligibility only. Weighted-uncapped is most important for admissions to the most selective campuses.

All three are correlated, so it’s like you’re comparing the same thing against itself. If you’re wondering if it is better to take easy classes to get a higher unweighted GPA, I would say no.

In the end it’s the UC GPA that they analyze. They will of course see your WGPA and UWGPA, but the UC GPA calculation allows them to reduce some of the variation in GPA found from school to school. Don’t know if that answers your question haha.

Berkeley and UCLA look at fully weighted AND unweighted GPA. The rest of the UCs cap the GPA at 4.4 or 4.5.

Aside from GPA, rigor of your high school curriculum also tops the list of factors considered.
