so im wondering whats better in terms of living at mhc....a spacious room with perhaps less sense of community (what i have heard about macgregor) or living on the green with maybe a smaller room with more of ur friends? opinions?

Well I'm a prospective student, but I'd definitely say community over a bigger room. Then again, I come from a big family and have shared a room for the majority of my life; space really isn't that big of a deal for me, since I'm used to close quarters. :]

However, community is a big deal for me--it's actually one of the factors I consider to be pretty important. I'd rather be close with the people I'm living with than to dislike or not really care about them. It's easier to live with people when you're friendly and like them; no room would be big enough to negate having a ****ty room mate or neighbors or what not.

My daughter gets along well with her roommate, even as they have separate sets of friends. They stay in one of the dorms on the green. Daughter says it is so convenient especially in the winter, to be close to Blanchard and the post office.
