Which year is most important to McGill in terms of grades, 10th, 11th or 12th? If I had average grades in 10th and 11th (B average) and get all A's in 12th grade, plus decent scores (32 ACT) would they still consider me for something like Arts or Engineering? I'm from the US btw

Here are McGill’s admission standards for Americans:

[Admissions standards (US) | Applying to Undergraduate Studies - McGill University](http://www.mcgill.ca/applying/admissionsguide/standards/unitedstates)

Arts is generally a lot easier to get into at top Canadian schools then engineering so your chances would differ based on which department you apply to. What is your UW gpa?

I believe it’s somewhere around a 3.1 or a 3.2 out of 4

with a 3.1-3.2 you might have a shot at arts, but you wont get into engineering at McGill. With a 32 ACT I along with a 3.2 gpa I would put you at a match to a high match for arts.

You might also want to consider UBC if you have any meaningful EC…

I wouldn’t want to go to UBC, just hoping to be in Montreal. I’m just kind of hoping that McGill pays attention to senior grades. Hopefully I’ll be able to pull of all A’s the first semester, and give my chances a little boost. If not I heard Concordia was a decent back up engineering wise

If you try your hand at Concordia first, get ~3.5-3.7 there and then you can think about transferring at McGill… which is not at all a sure thing.

Concordia engineering: Safety (they start accepting American students at 2.5)
