What's my best option?

I am currently in my 2nd year at CC. I am a bio sci major and want to apply for a TAG to UCI but have yet to start my year of o-chem and physics. I have a 4.0 GPA and will have completed IGETC by Spring 2013. I have several options but I don't know which is best:

Switch majors that is closely related to bio sci but doesn't require o-chem then, if my TAG is approved, try to switch back to bio sci at UCI (I risk not being able to switch back).

Stay another year and finish o-chem and physics (I feel like I won't be happy with this option).

Apply for regular admission to UCI anyway, and if I get in, I'll be a year behind (I don't know if I'll be able to handle the work load).

Any suggestions, advice, or words of encouragement are appreciated.

Interesting situation. I would strongly recommend, however, that you DO NOT switch majors if you know that this is what you want to major in. I believe that Bio sci at UCI is impacted, so trying to switch to it could get very complicated. It’s up to you, however, whether or not you want to apply for it this year. Staying an extra year really isn’t bad especially considering that you will save a ton of money by taking those classes at a CCC instead of a UC.
