Whats my chance?

I am a high school junior at a private high school in North Carolina. I transfered schools in the middle of last year, and my grades show that.

At my old school i had about a 3.2 (ish) - most of my grades in the low As and upper Bs. My grades last year were not very good at all (since i changed schools) but this year ive picked cumulative gpa up from a 2.6 (from last year) to a 2.95, and i hope to pick it up to at least a 3.2 by the end of this year

my grades are ok. Mostly Bs some As. I havent taken the SAT but my score is predicted around 1300+ and i have some service and alot of outside sports (horseback riding)

I want to apply to the business school at UIUC next year...what are my chances?

I'm interested in applying to UIUC's business school too... and from my knowledge I think that your GPA is a little bit low.
However, I would be really concerned about your SAT score, assuming that you're referring to the new scoring system.
I think for UIUC's business school you should be getting around 2000/2400...

I was referring to the old scale, but i think 1300 is about 1900 on the new scale, is that still too low?

Lexip, your SAT is fine for the business school at Illinois. I was just recently accepted into the business school with an SAT score of 1850 and an ACT of 28, which is right in your range. I was also OOS by the way.

Ah if you're talking about the old scale I think you should be fine too

thanks so much :D

I will add (a bit late) that the schools she goes to and has gone to are pretty darn good. I go to the same school and got in to UI engineering with a ~3.2-3.3 unweighted and in the third quintile of my class with an SAT of 1460.

Her schedule next year is also pretty challenging, which should help a lot.

And Lexi, you're a dork. :)
