<p>My school is a all-girls Catholic school. It's not private, it's part of a Catholic school board, and we're ranked as one of the best in the district and the province of Ontario.</p>
<p>Every school year, I was this close to get to the honour roll, but by the end, I was always two marks below the credential. There was usually one or two courses each year where I get mediocre marks, but I usually get comments by those teachers as being positive; as evident in my yearbook signings.</p>
<p>Essays/Recommendations:
Essays: Stuck with these topics: one about my stuffed rabbit I owned since six, another about going to an all-girls school and how it made me a better person, and one about myself being the only girl who wore pants to a grade eight formal/graduation, while every other girl came in a dress. Just wondering if any is too cliche or not.
Teachers Recs: Coming from my grade 11 drama teacher, law teacher, and my media studies teacher - all are great
Guidance Counselor Rec: She helped me throughout high school, so I'm pretty good.'</p>
<p>I'm a filipino girl from Toronto, Canada and I want to apply to Gallatin to focus a mix of journalism/dramatic writing/theatre/cinema studies/sociology/anthropology/politics and a bit of business so I can be a journalist/screenwriter for film and TV. Think of it as Tina Fey meets a Vanity Fair columnist.</p>
