great rec's

chance me at uci, ucr, ucsb.

bump this please. im not sure if i should take the december sats. i dunno if it will come in on time.

you can take your SAT’s in december.
you also need to take another SAT II- preferably MATH LEVEL 2.

Your UC GPA is pretty low compared to average UC GPA for UCI- but

UCI - high match/low reach
UCR - match
UCSB - low reach

my gpa is actually a UC 3.62 i dunno if that makes a difference. well, im not taking math two. im takingg us history and bio. and hopefully my new sat will be 1900 or so.

For one thing… UCs don’t take recs so you can throw that out. Unless you want to get into their 5 year med program I’d say you’re a match. Reach for med program and higher ranking UCs

im looking to go in the medical field, would that better my chances of geting in?

No not really… UCI has a similar med program to UCLA which is a 5 year course I believe. This is a very competitive path because those who fail to get into it at UCLA often go to UCI. I would say you’re a reach to get into this program, but you could get into the school under a different major.

is it possible for me to go in there as a different major then just change it to the medical major? can i do that?

Ya im sure there is a way to go about doing this, but you should definitely check more concrete facts… It would take longer though obviously

im just wondering if i can go in with a say nursing major then once i get in change it to biochem

bump this uppp

you’re for sure in at UCR!
UCI and UCSB are pretty equal, and I think you have a chance for them!

Chance me? :)
