<p>Follow up with your GC to make sure the school’s part gets sent. If you have any question that your file is complete, call NMSC near the deadline – they’ll let you know if anything is missing. Then…return to your regularly-scheduled life. Enjoy your senior year, keep your grades up, etc. In February, you will learn if you continued on to finalist status. In the meantime, is there a football game, school play or some such to enjoy? </p>

If you are applying to colleges that offer Merit$ to NMSFs, be sure to check if they have early application deadlines for scholarship eligibility. Missing a deadline by a day could mean missing out on thousands of dollars in scholarships.</p>
