<p>She is a PhD student in the Philosophy department. I am not sure what the Descartes scholar is, but I know she was definitely well versed in the whole mind/body thingy! LOL Very interesting person and very bright.</p>
<p>I guess I made it sound like there is something like a Descartes scholarship. I meant did she specialize in studying Rene Descartes, the philosopher who explored the problematic connection between minds and bodies. Sounds like such exploration was not so problematic for you.</p>

<p>well, yes, but Princeton is generally considered to be in the 'top-teir' of philosophy depts along with Pitt and Oxford. I'm sure we all can agree on that. It's just my personal opinion that Princeton's Philosophy dept. is number one.</p>
