<p>Hi I was wondering it it would be possible to receive a bid from an asian interest fraternity without actually being asian? I'm wouldn't be doing it as a gimmick or anything, I've just always seemed to be interested in asian things (ie; I'm able to speak, read and write korean, I train in thai boxing etc, I'm usually attracted to asian girls). Do you think they would even consider giving a white boy like me a bid? It looks like they've had white members in the past but I'm not positive.</p>

<p>in case you didn't read i speak korean, i'm trained in thai boxing, i've usually had asian friends, i also didn't include it but i've try and learn japanese korean and chinese styles of cooking, so that's not the reason why i'm doing it at all lol</p>

<p>I'm not an expert on this but I can give you my opinion. There's an asian frat here and I've seen at least two white people in it. If you like asian things and enjoy hanging out with asian people then there should be no reason why you can't join. Having white people in their frat might also improve their self-image. Because I don't know much more, my best advice is just go to a rush event and ask yourself. Then you will get your answer immediately and you would stand out from the crowd not only because you're white but because it takes some courage to go to an asian frat when you're not asian.</p>
<p>Yea i feel ya, i'll probably wind up rushing a few asian and a few just general fraternities and seeing who i get better vibes from. I feel like they wouldn't necessarily hate on me if i prove that I'm genuinely interested in asian culture and have been my whole life (kinda happens if you grew up in a town with as high an asian population as i did). Though I would understand if at first they thought I was just doing it to be like "that white guy in the asian frat" or if i was doing it just to chase asian girls, neither of which is the case. It even comes down to the social events that they hold compared to the ones other frats hold, they host events at clubs pretty regularly, which clubbing is something i like to do, where as the white frats only have house parties which are cool but get redundant.</p>
<p>and just to clarify if anyone else reads this the thing about being attracted to asian girls that i said at the top, i didn't mean that as "having yellow fever" or anything like that, i've had relationships with white girls and even a hispanic girl, but the majority of my relationships have been with asian girls, thats what i've meant, idk it seems like it just happens. Just to clarify, as I see that could've easily been misunderstood.</p>
<p>I know a few non-Jews who have been in Jewish fraternities, if that's any consolation.</p>
