Residential FIG:

Residential FIG Application Information. It says you sign up when you sign your housing contract.

Resnet is on campus internet, generally wired in the dorm, wireless elsewhere. You can choose the tier you want.

Residential FiGs is a Residential Freshman Interest Group, at the residence hall of Whitis Court. They try to place you in the same classes as some of the other people you live around. Personally, I don’t like the idea, but maybe it appeals to you.

I think Residential FIGs let people who are taking a set of classes that they are interested in live together in Whitis, a great dorm area. I think that is why they are called Interest groups. I do not think they try to place people who happen to live near each other in classes together. Were you in a Residential FIG?

Right, maybe my wording was weird. What MidwestMom2Kids_ says is essentially correct.
It’s like a normal FiG, except you live together.

It looks like Resnet applies to internet AND phone service? Does each student pay for their own? And if so is each student assigned different phone numbers?

Resnet does not apply to telephone. You have to pay $150 extra for installation plus $20 per month if you want a wired phone in your dorm room. (The RA’s all have wired phones so each wing of each dorm has at least one in case of emergency.) Students just use their cell phones.
