Hey so what's a solid ACT composite and math score for Carnegie Mellon and UVA engineering? Please help!

As good as you can manage. Your ACT composite would be best in the 30s the higher the better. By math score do your mean SAT? Either way, as high as you can manage. 700s.

How many topics do you need on this? Your 33 overall and 35 in math is a great score although the 5 attempts will likely hurt.

33-36

The fact that I took it five times shouldn’t hurt… They view you in the best light meaning they only see what submit them. Even if I sent them all they would only care about the highest

google the common data sets for the schools and see what the range of scores is for their ingoing freshmen. Section C7

Some schools want your best superscore (best sections from any date). Some want your best single test date without superscoring. Some want all of your scores and evaluate them however they want to. CMU, like Stanford, requires ALL test scores.
